Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

This policy explains what data Doxapoly's video-publishing tool accesses through the YouTube Data API, how that data is used, and how it can be removed.

Who operates this tool

Doxapoly is an independent, single-operator project. This tool is used solely to publish video content to two YouTube channels that Doxapoly itself owns and operates: Etymotv and Wall Street Minute. It is not offered to, or used by, any other person or organization, and no other user account ever authenticates through it.

YouTube API Services and the data we access

This tool uses the YouTube Data API v3 and authenticates via Google OAuth using the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube. Through this authorization, the tool can, on the operator's own two channels only:

The tool does not read, collect, or process data belonging to viewers, subscribers, or any YouTube account other than the two channels Doxapoly itself owns. It does not access comments, analytics, watch history, or any other end-user data.

How this data is used

Video files, titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails are generated locally by Doxapoly's own pipeline from researched, factual source material. That content is then uploaded to YouTube, always initially as a private video, so a human can review it before any video is made public. Channel data read via the API is used only to confirm uploads are going to the correct, intended channel.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials (client secrets and refresh tokens) are stored locally on the operator's own machine and are never transmitted to, or shared with, any third party. They are used exclusively to authorize the API calls described above.

Data retention and deletion

Locally stored OAuth tokens are retained only for as long as the tool is in active use. The operator can revoke this application's access at any time from Google Account → Security → Third-party access. Revoking access immediately invalidates the stored tokens; any locally cached copies are deleted from the operator's machine as part of that process. To request deletion of any data related to this application, contact us at contact@doxapoly.com.

Compliance with Google's data policies

Doxapoly's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google's own handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy, and use of YouTube itself is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
